Children's Book Drive for Missouri Head Start

All advisories are invited to participate in a children's book drive to support the Lending Library at the Hematite Head Start. This program "promotes the school readiness of children from birth to age five from low-income families by enhancing their cognitive, social, and emotional development. Head Start programs provide a learning environment that supports children's growth in many areas such as language, literacy, and social and emotional development."

We are seeking books for ages preschool - 12 years. Books may be used or new, and you can give them to your advisor to collect. The advisory that collects the most books by next Friday, April 29, will receive a special prize from Mr. Mayes!
