At TJ, the best way to get to know us is to spend time on campus meeting students and teachers, joining classes, and experiencing the energy of our community. We invite you to explore, ask questions, and picture yourself here.
What we need from you
To apply, you’ll complete an SSAT profile (our code is 7660) and submit the application fee ($40), student essays, and parent statement.
We also ask for recommendations from your principal or counselor, plus your current math teacher and English teacher. Your current school should send us official transcripts.
You’ll also register for the SSAT exam, which gives us a clear sense of your academic preparation.
Finally, families reach out to admissions@tjs.org to schedule a meeting with our Director of Admissions once the main pieces of the application are in.
The next steps
When your application is complete, we’ll invite the student to spend a day on campus as a Shadow Day guest. You’ll join a TJ student for classes, enjoy lunch, and get a real feel for daily life here.
We will share admissions decisions on the dates outlined below, and admitted students can secure their place with an enrollment agreement and deposit.
