Aaron Yang is November's Student of the Month
Congratulations to Aaron Yang '22 for being chosen as November's Southwest Area Chamber of Commerce Student of the Month!
To be nominated, students must meet the following criteria:
- Students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Students should be well-rounded and have outstanding accomplishments in some areas such as academics, sports, clubs, music, and art.
- In addition to school activities, the student’s involvement in the community, including volunteering and community service projects, are important.
Aaron sets the bar extremely high for what it means to be a student at TJ. In addition to his commitment to academic excellence, Aaron is involved as a student body leader. He was recently elected by his peers as STUCO president. Aaron contributes to the TJ community by being a very active member of Music Club where he shares his passion for music, performance, and building community.
Aaron also serves as co-leader of TJ Boarding Council. Mrs. Correa, our Director of Boarding has this to say about Aaron: "Aaron has played an important role in fostering the strong boarding community spirit we have at TJ. He is a kind and approachable role model whose door is always open to those seeking guidance or friendship. His leadership and positivity is appreciated by students and adults alike, especially as we navigate the challenges of Covid. He truly loves our community and enjoys helping in any way that he can."
