Choosing an independent school is a significant decision for families—both academically and financially. While all families are expected to contribute towards their child's education, we are committed to making the cost of a TJ education affordable. One-third of our student body receives some level of tuition assistance.

Returning families: January 1, 2026
New 9th-grade day families: January 1, 2026
New families: January 13, 2026

Financial Aid Application Process

Thomas Jefferson School uses the Clarity Application to determine a family’s level of financial need. To get started, click here and create an account.
  • The application takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. It is mobile-friendly and can be completed from anywhere. You can also save your progress and return at any time. 
  • Clarity charges a $60 fee to apply, and you can share your application with additional schools that use Clarity for no extra charge.

Tuition for the 2026–2027 school year will be determined at the start of the new calendar year.
