TJ's Own St. Louis Chess Club Representative

Seventh grader Asha Silva represented the St. Louis Chess Club earlier this month at a special bipartisan Congressional Chess Tournament in Washington DC. U.S. Senators Eric Schmitt, R-Mo., and Maggie Hassan, D-N.H., hosted the tournament in partnership with the Saint Louis Chess Club. The event coincided with the 10th anniversary of a U.S. Senate proclamation naming St. Louis the Chess Capital of the U.S. Asha was one of eight students invited to participate in the tournament—congratulations!
