We're thrilled to have our very own alumna, Lacy Audry ‘05 come speak at TJ about her incredible journey in the coffee and wine business. Join us in person on Friday, April 28th at 6 PM CST in the Main building at TJ for a rare opportunity to hear Lacy speak about her travels in Asia for her coffee business, running her own café in Paris, and her family’s vineyard in Burgundy. The session will be moderated by Lily Mahoney ‘06.
Lacy will be bringing Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Gamay from her family's vineyard in Burgundy, France as well as a sampling of different coffees for you to try. Whether you're a coffee lover or a wine enthusiast, this event is not to be missed. Live-Zoom options are also available, so join us from anywhere in the world!

Moderator — Lily Mahoney ‘06 went on to earn a BS in computer science from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN. She then spent 8 years working at the AutoZone Headquarters as a Software Quality Analyst, but "retired" in 2017 to move home to St. Louis and become a stay at home mom for her two boys (Russell and Bennett). In early 2021, Lily was able to pursue her long-time dream of becoming a professional organizer by opening her own business, Making Space with Lily LLC. In addition to organizing, Lily has spent her time in St. Louis volunteering and holding multiple leadership and board positions for non-profits in the St. Louis area.
Guest Speaker — Lacy Audry ‘05 is currently a web and graphic designer in Paris. Previously, she had a career as a Coffee Quality Sensory Grader and a specialty coffee roaster. For several years, she judged the US and French Barista and Brewers Cup Competitions, and squeaked out a 2nd Place title for herself in 2019. She founded two companies (with a third rumored to be in progress): a social enterprise working with farmers in remote villages of the Philippines, then a neighborhood café in Montmartre, the notorious stomping grounds of many Parisian revolutionaries, luminaries, and artists. A living testament of taking the path less traveled by, Lacy will be sharing stories of falling flat and soaring high. She believes wholly in the power of coffee as community building, and therefore she will prepare a Specialty Coffee tasting experience for our guests.
Please note, this special event is a bit different from our others, offering a live in-person tasting experience with alumna Lacy Audry: we will be sampling several wines and several coffees as Lacy discusses her experience in the wine and coffee businesses. We hope you join us in Main Building for this exciting opportunity! Here's what Lacy has to say about it:
"When we taste, we are creating a memory. A sensory memory. We will be tasting a Chardonnay, a Pinot Noir, and a Gamay, same year, all from the small village of Igé in Burgundy, France. Also on offer is one coffee roasted by two different roasters. You will be pleasantly surprised in the capabilities of your own tastebuds. Come taste and make memories with us."
