The TJ Review 2022–2023

Boaz Roth
It is time yet again to announce this year's plan for the TJ Review! The TJ Review is a bookclub of sorts open to the entire TJ community, past, present, and future.
This year will operate a bit differently than in the previous two years. Liat Roth ('17) suggested (and volunteered to co-lead with me) two novels that have a TJ connection and both penned by the same author, Madeline Miller. These novels are Song of Achilles and Circe. I haven't read either (yet), but I've seen TJ students reading them for the past year or two, so I'm really keen on Ms. Roth's suggestion. Since TJ is quickly getting "back to normal," trying to schedule meetings this semester will be difficult, so here's when we'll meet to discuss each work:

Song of Achillles: February 22, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. CST

: May 24, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. CST

When we cross from 2022 to 2023, I'll post more detailed instructions and a few study questions. Both novels are under 400 pages, and at first glance seem to read quickly. I think we'll really enjoy both. Once again, the entire TJ community is invited to join in the discussions.
