Post-AP Seminars

Jim Pesek
After AP exams have ended, the courses associated with them generally switch to a focus on independent work, which doesn't require daily class meetings. In recent years, TJ has chosen to utilize this time as an opportunity for students and staff alike to explore new interests and engage with subject areas not traditionally part of the TJ curriculum. In this spirit, the Post-AP Seminar program was born.

This year, 11th graders will take on a college-application intensive with our Director of College Counseling where they will learn about writing a personal essay and other crucial aspects of the application process. 12th graders will participate in a crash course that will provide advice for adjusting to college life. Additionally, they selected a second course from the following list based on their interests. Courses are proposed and facilitated by a variety of staff and faculty members.
