80th Anniversary Celebration
October 23-24, 2026
October 23–24, 2026
on the TJ campus
What Must Be True?
80 years, and still asking.
We would love to welcome you back to TJ.
Eighty years is a long time for a small school to keep asking big questions. Since 1946, TJ has changed in all sorts of ways, but the essential idea has proved remarkably durable: school should be intellectually serious, deeply human, and interesting enough that people want to be part of the conversation.
This October, we're bringing generations of the TJ community back to campus to celebrate. You'll see familiar places and quite a few unfamiliar faces. You'll also have the chance to sit in a TJ classroom again, with the considerable advantage that this time you haven't been assigned the reading!
The weekend is partly about looking back, of course, but an 80th anniversary seems like a particularly good moment to ask what comes next, too. We hope you'll be here for that conversation.

80th Anniversary Weekend
October 23–24, 2026
| Friday 5:00–7:00 p.m. | Welcome Cocktail Reception |
Common Room Come back to campus, find some familiar faces, and begin the weekend together over drinks in the Common Room.
| Saturday 9:30–11:30 a.m. | Back to the Classroom |
Main Building Spend the morning learning with members of the TJ faculty. These special anniversary sessions are a chance to return to the classroom and experience something alumni may find surprisingly familiar: a good question followed by a conversation that goes somewhere nobody quite expected.
| Saturday 7:00–10:00 p.m. | 80th Anniversary Dinner |
TJ Gym On Saturday evening, we'll gather for dinner and celebrate the people who have made TJ what it is over the past eighty years, with plenty of time to enjoy being together again. |
