Fun Fact: Was once a member of the 1000 pound club. If he could stop injuring his ankles, maybe he could be again!

Having originally studied business at the University of Miami, Ben took a roundabout course to the profession of teaching. After working as a summer camp counselor showed him that no career outside of education would do, Ben earned his CELTA in Denver and worked in a bilingual school in Szazhalombatta, Hungary, about two hours outside of Budapest. After hopping around Europe for a year, Ben returned to St. Louis to begin working on a Master of Arts in Teaching at Webster University with a focus in middle school social studies. During this time, Ben worked as a substitute teacher in several schools around the St. Louis area and taught English as a foreign language online to students in China. At TJ, Ben teaches English, Geography, and History. He also coaches soccer (Go Titans!) and serves as Middle School Coordinator.
