  • Statement of Financial Responsibility

International students who are not U.S. citizens must send a statement accepting financial responsibility for all of the student’s tuition, personal expenses, and travel/vacation costs. The family should also attach an official document from the family’s bank or financial institution indicating that the funds are available. The tuition and fees listed above do not include travel expenses, books, spending money, dorm decorations or supplies, Advanced Placement examination fees, SAT examination fees, college application fees, or a philanthropic monetary gift to TJ's Annual Fund.
  • I-20 Process

Students are issued an I-20 after they have been admitted (successful completion of the admissions application, and in receipt of an offer of admission) and have enrolled by signing the enrollment agreement and submitting the tuition deposit. After a student has enrolled, the DSO will issue an I-20 form.

Once you receive the I-20 form from TJ, it is then your responsibility to pay the I-90 SEVIS fee and apply for a F-1 student visa. To learn about the interview process and what documents you need to obtain your F-1 visa, please contact your local U.S. Consulate. A list of U.S. Consulates can be found here.
