A Message about Annual Giving

If you haven't already contributed to this year's Annual Giving campaign, please consider doing so. Your donation helps support a quality education for young people who are as promising and deserving as you once were!

Tuition pays only a portion of the school's operating costs; the Annual Giving program provides essential financial support for all areas of TJ life: academics, fine arts, athletics, activities, and residential life. Our Annual-Giving effort goes by fiscal year, and the current campaign for $165,000 will end on June 30, 2008. With Annual Giving support, we have been able to:

• provide faculty/staff development opportunities
• install a new voicemail system
• purchase a new database
• reprint our catalog
• host alumni gatherings
• replace the activity bus
• offer financial aid to deserving students
• recruit students from all over the world

Your school is also in the middle of a Capital Campaign for $5 million for an influx of capital far beyond the amounts raised in Annual Giving to: 

• increase the endowment to support financial aid, to maintain facilities, and to provide adequate reserves
• renovate the gymnasium and construct an additional building to provide proper facilities for TJ athletics
• transform the barn (now used by maintenance) into a fine arts studio, with an adjacent classroom
• build a maintenance facility
• renovate the pavilion
• keep the construction service road to use as a permanent and safer exit from TJ

It is the increased alumni support, together with one-hundred percent participation of our Board of Trustees and faculty, that has made your school competitive in today's market without compromising the first-class education that over 500 TJ graduates have experienced.

The network of alumni grows stronger each year, forming a life-long connection for TJ graduates. Your tax-deductible gift serves past, current, and future students and makes it possible for TJ to continue as a boarding and day school of the highest distinction.

(If you are a recent graduate, consider giving what you spent for the last movie ticket you purchased — every contribution counts!) If you haven't participated so far this year, please do it now.
